A collaboration with a local potter, Tyler Neutgens from Louisville, Colorado, I adore these candles. And when the candle is gone, there's a beautiful piece of artwork to enjoy, drink out of, or to hold the little things in your world. ✨
Poured on the Autumnal Equinox...the day of perfect balance between light and darkness, the photos captured light and shadow within the texture of her handcrafted vessels catching the new Fall sunlight. They also remind of the Flatirons, near where we live on the front range of Rockies. They're truly delightful.
The fragrance is reminiscent of a mountainous field...Mt. Shasta in northern California, for example...comforting and potent. Sage, White sage, Bee balm, Palo Santo, Mountain pine, May chang, and a vintage Spikenard are the featured organic and wildcrafted aromatics.
Super clean burning with hemp wick and soy-based wax. No synthetics whatsoever.
5 - 6 oz. each.
Burn time: approx. 20 hours.
On a personal note:
It's not easy to create an "organic" candle. 🫠 The candles are the result of trial and (a lot of) error. Oftentimes, the essential oil was "wasted" as the fragrance was barely detectable (which made me want to cry). Adding more made it "smoke," sadly.
I thought it was a lost cause until I tried the right blend called, Nurture, which I've never released.
If these call to you at all, it may be time to grab them because I'm not entirely sold on burning essential oils (and often discourage it), but for now, there are a few available. If interest persists, I've been know to change my mind.
My usual recommendation is to purchase (or make your own) candles with clean ingredients and skip the fragrance as those on the market are toxic 99% of the time (yes, even when they say "natural"). Best is to use an essential oil diffuser or room spray with gorgeous, authentic oils...and just enjoy the candle for what it is. :) 🧼 📦
